The program on the new site has been updated and is easier to install than the old one.
Here's what to do when you want to work with more Question Sets. In summary:
Download the file containing the Question Set you want
Extract the Question Set
Add the Question Set to the WhatBot
And now in more detail:
Download the Question Set file to your computer. The Question Set file contains a number of files packed together and you need to extract them. The way of extracting is the same way as before, when you were extracting the program setup files. That is, if you are using XP or Vista, Windows will be able to extract the individual files and folders from the compressed file itself, while older Windows systems may need an extra program such as 7-Zip (Open source, No charge software), WinZip or similar to extract the files.
To extract the files, use My Computer or Windows Explorer (or Computer or Recent Items on Vista) to go to the zip file and right-click on the zip file. On Windows XP and Vista, this will show you a menu - the choice you want is "Extract All".
Create a folder called 'WhatBotsWait'. This folder can be a subfolder in another folder, if that suits the way your disc is organised. It can be almost anywhere you like, but it must not in the WhatBotsData folder. Extract the Question Sets into the WhatBotsWait folder.
(Make sure you unzip the files like this. If you extract them by double clicking on the zip file, Windows would use its own work files. You would not know where the Windows work files are, so you would not be able to find the Question Set later.)
The Question Sets will then be ready, waiting to be added to the WhatBot list of Question Sets.
On the WhatBot Menu screen, click on "More" (More Setup), then "Add QS" (Add new Question Set).
You will see a "Browse for Folder" screen - navigate to the Question Set you want in the WhatBotsWait folder and click on OK.
You will now be able to select the Question Set you just added. It will now be on the Switch Questions dropdown on the Menu screen.
Make sure you have selected the correct folder (a Question Set name) before clicking on OK. We have discovered that the error checking in this area needs improving. There are misleading messages if you select an incorrect folder. This will be corrected in the next release.
The WhatBot does not need the files in the WhatBotsWait folder any more after this. You can delete the folder if you wish but you might like to keep it if there are other Question Sets in it.
